Check Engine - 08 Tahoe

What the heck I have just a hair over 2600 miles and this morning the check engine light goes on. When I left work I checked the gas cap and it was tight get in and call onstar. Some evap system error lady asked if the gas cap was on or I just filled up. Well I am at a half a tank so I didnt just fill up and before I left work I checked the gas cap and it was tight. Great taking it in tomorrow.

 

One other thing since I am taking it in between 45 and 50 mph I have a growl and a vibration in the steering wheel. I had this in my Silverado at 45 mph (TC locking up). Sound like the same problem? An bulletins or anyone have this fixed?

wow everyones vehciles must be perfect. Just an update for anyone running into a similar problem it was the gas cap. it was on correct but it was leaking. They replaced the flex-fuel gas cap (part 15900616) and all os well again

I had my truck for maybe 2 weeks and the CEL came on. I shut it off, restarted it and it came on. True to form, I drove it home and said I'd worry about it in the morning, hoping it would fix itself. It was fine the next day, so I didn't really worry about it. I had driven through a big puddle or something, I thought may have caused it.

 

Glad it turned out so minor.
