What Did You Pay For Your 6" Step Assists?

I'm looking at picking a set up (for my women) and have been quoted 650.00 from the dealer. Keep in mind I live in Canada.

 

What did you guys pay for yours?

I paid about $600 USD installed by the dealer pre-delivery.

Hm, the guy I deal with said that the 650CDN that he got was at his cost and that doesn't include install (which he told me I should just do myself as it only takes 30min) or taxes.

 

What to do... hmmm?

install them yourself and then you know it wass dont the way you wanted them done. You need the hookup on some steps man!!! 650, 600, is crazy!!!!

I live in Canada and I think it was around 570ish not installed for me with employee discount? Isn't 650 the normal price of them?

 

Just install them yourself - it takes maybe 10 minutes a side, and the instructions are easy. It just bolts on to the existing holes. I don't have a lot of mechanical skill whatsoever and it was easy for me.

I paid $500 for mine from the dealer. I was all ready to order them online when I decided to give the dealer a chance. I didn't have to talk him down or anything, I asked what they would charge me and he said, well list is like 525 and then he said, well lets just make it an even 500. So then the next day I picked them up and put them on myself. Very easy to do and the plugs you take out to put the clips in I cut them to fit back into the whole after I was done to help keep dirt and water out.

I bought mine off ebay, however they are 4" but still sexy/functional they got a ebay store website you can order them from. http://stores.ebay.com/truckparts411/

 

if you cant find them, call them and you can order them that way to say you dont have an ebay account. they are called "raptor 4" oval side steps" made of 304 stainless, supported by 3 mounts and dont have those cheap lookin plastic endcaps...

 

the best part they were under 300$ look at my sig.

$650 US is full list price from GM. I whined and carped and got a local dealer down to $520 + tax.

 

Installation is a breeze, glad I went with these instead of an aftermarket.

Got mine out of Texas at gmpartszone.com shipped from TX to Virginia for 546.94 but they were on sale when I ordered them because they were regular 796.25 so figured better get them at that price and installed myself on my GMC Crew. Took maybe 45 min to 1 hour to put on but really did not push myself to go any faster. I think gmpartsdirect.com was the next cheapest.
