Great Mpg Day Today

Well I was out driving around North Texas today looking at property. I had our Handycam with me and I was getting some good mileage today.

 

I thought I would get a shot of it for all the Tundra driving non-believers out there, so they'll know how well a Sierra can do on miles per gallon.

 

Keep in mind, this is on E-85 also.

 

Not only is E-85 running great in my truck, but with all the fuel tank drilling going on out here, even though I would be pissed if someone drilled my tank, at least I know that they won't get very far before they ruin their non flex fuel engine with E-85.

I hear that even a few gallons through it does a real number on a gas only engine.

 

Also, Hogan is my dog in the back of the truck, not the kids doll in the backseat.

Not bad.. I have to admit, I don't trust the DIC's MPG #'s, but here are some from a while back for me...

 

While moving from North Dallas to North Fort Worth, with the truck loaded.. I guess this was about 30 miles into the cruise from Addison, along 190 and 161, down to 183.. This was somewhere around Rufe Snow, along 820, if I remember right :

 

This was somewhere out in West Texas, heading towards El Paso :

 

For a "big damn truck" with a 6.2L motor, I'll take it.

 

Congrats on those #'s with E85. I doubted it would do that good. But, with the #'s jumping around, it looks like you had recently reset the AVG MPG. Still... Considering what you're driving, not bad #'s!

Yep! I didn't see the road real well, but I know of a few "grades" along there. We don't really have much in the way of "hills" around these parts..

Did I tell you guys that she was a U.S. Army Drill Instructor for 7 years. She was (is) an expert in Collateral Sabotage and has seen 2 tours in Iraq as a Interrogation Specialist.

 

You will know her when you see her. She's the good looking blonde chick that keeps her own jumper cables & Vick's Vapor rub, with her all the time.

 

Oh...I forgot to say she works for company now that teaches private security firms "Haganah"
