nevrserious Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 Hi guys, Newb here. I wanted to thank you regulars on this site, your information is much appreciated. I recently sold my 2002 Chevy K1500 and purchased a 2008 GMC K1500. After reading many posts on lifts/leveing kits I went with the Rough Country 2" level kit. Here's some pics before and after. After 2" RC kit
DofD Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 Hi there and welcome to GM Trucks! Nice new truck you got yourself there. The leveling kit looks really good on it.
Zembonez Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 There's nothing quite like a first.... truck Congrats!
nevrserious Posted October 3, 2008 Author Posted October 3, 2008 Thanks guys, this truck definitely has things that are better than my old one, for instance it's a much smoother ride. But I'm quite surprised by the little things it doesn't have that my old truck had; no coin holder, no under hood light for the engine compartment, no overhead console for a garage door opener, sunglasses (I think this was just an option I didn't get however), no AC vents leading to the rear seat, etc. My '02 Chevy was the LT so was loaded, but this one is an SLT so thought I wouldn't be stepping down any.
Zembonez Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 They did eliminate some of the little nice things on these new trucks. I have had mine for a year now and I really like it though... lots of improvements over the last series.
Nick The Great Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 Nice truck I guess I'm lucky. My LT1 seems more loaded than my GMT800 LS. Although I could live without the "lint attraction system."

You do have the universal garage door opener don't you?
