I wouldn't go with Line-x. They don't stand behind their guarantee. It's supposedly guaranteed not to peel or flake, but my FIL's is, and they claim it's his fault so they won't fix it. At least that's the shop in Flint, MI. It has still soured my stomach to Line-x.

I'd say find a place that does Rhinoliner or Herculiner. Both are much better.

Sorry to hear of your experience but I'd have to disagree with you about the Rhino or Herculiner being better. As far as a I know, Herculiner only comes in a DIY roll-on form and from the 300 other threads about this subject, the Line-X compound is more skid resistant, fades less and handles abuse much better than Rhino-liner. I'm sure some guys with each of hem will chime in soon enough.

I got my Line-X done for 400 out the door (short bed), but that was with a dealer discount. I think retail is 75 or 100 more. As far as the Line-X vs Rhino...I don't have some super strong opinion on it, but I do agree with "daddy" that Herculiner is roll on only and my uncle had it and he uses his truck since he's a contractor, and it was easily penetrated and scratched, and it was peeling, flaking, coming off...no good. As far as the Rhino, I have noticed in some other trucks that is does get kind of a milky look to it after a while. Almost gray instead of black. But to be fair, I haven't had my Line-X for too long. All I can say is that they did a helluva job on mine, I couldn't be happier. It's looks so good I don't want to put anything in it!

Sorry bud but you're 100% wrong with this one. Rhino liner sucks compared to LineX.

Here in Jersey LineX is more expensive as is everything else, got mine done over the rails and bulkhead too with Xtra for $700+.

W1ck3d6, when are you going to send me better pics so I can do up a nice sig for you? lol

You are crucifying an awesome product based on ONE dealer? C'mon, you should know better than that.

Nothing against Rhinoliner, but HERCULINER???:lol::lol::D:D:D:D

Line-X is by far the best out there. And MY dealer told me they would fix ANY damage, regardless of how it happened. It is in writing in my paperwork in fact. I had my 2000 done in late 1999 and it still looks new to this day.

OP: I paid $400 for mine ($50 discount by having the GM dealer do it pre-delivery). Under the rails, over the rails was $50 extra.

Any bets when our buddy sonjaab chimes in?

I gotta agree with the majority on this. The first spray-on bed-liner I ever had was Rhino-Liner, and although its much better than plasti drop-in liner, it does not even compare to Line-X. The quality is much better and durable.

I've had both, and they both were quality products. The price was about the same as well. The Line-X is a harder finish that does stay a more brilliant black, but it is harder. The Rhino-liner is softer and after about 5 years it did start to fade on me. I will be getting Rhino this next time around because it hold things in place better. You can put a gallon of milk in your bed and when get home it's sitting in the same spot, as well as what ever else you have in there. I also have a cover so I'm not to concerned with the fading. That's just my .02.
