certifiedcustom Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 Easy to say but hard to do...keep it in perspective. You do not know crap until the Dr. does some tests. Even if they find something, there are great treatments and knowledge out on the web. I know from experience that stress can do as much or more damage than what ails ya. Hang in there...
2000DV4.8 Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 I agree with Mike. Keep your head up, don't let it control your life (easier said than done, but try anyway). Whatever it is, you'll be able to pull through better if you keep a positive mindset. Best of luck to ya.

Keep the faith Rossman! It's very likely not anything to worry over. EVEN IF it were, they are so good at this stuff these days. My 72 year old Dad (who is one of my very favorite humans) just celebrated his 8th year of being cancer free after fighting larynx cancer. He is stronger than an ox now and doing great. You know we all are pulling for you.
C & A s Dad Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 Ross, I had a neighbor that had a similar lump under his armpit. He just knew it was some type of cancer. It ended up being "Cat Scratch Fever" He really had some type of illness that came from a cat. He did get pretty sick but came through it really well. Let us know what you find out.
Zembonez Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 PLUS You know you have to be just fine anyway. You're one of US!

Did they say when you can expect results?
Wingnut Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 Just relax a bit and if the doc gave you some valium or something similar...Take it. Seriously, there are hundreds of things that cause lumps in the lymph system other than cancer. Cancer runs in my family too. My dad died of throat cancer (non-smoker, non-drinker) at 56 years old and I've lost two aunts to breast cancer. So last year I freaked the hell out when I found several lumps under and in the muscles on my chest. Yeah...After a month of small surgeries and biopsies....Just some kind of "lipomas". So yeah...fatty tissue deposits or something like that. But hey...Now I've got some kickass racing stripe scars on my boobs. I'm hard core like that. Oh...and STOP READING ABOUT IT ON THE INTERNET. IT WILL GIVE YOU A HEART ATTACK AND YOU'LL NEVER SLEEP AGAIN.
