80 Silverado 5.3 Cams

i want to do a cam swap in my 08 silverado 5.3 flex fuel. has anyone done one yet??? i'm waiting for the guys at comp cams to get back with me on their cam options.... any ideas from you guys??? thanks!!!

hmmm. You probably have a gen IV engine which (I think) has different cam positioning and knock sensors than my gen III. Idk...

 

You will need new push rods, valve springs, water pump gaskets, timing cover gasket. If your going with a bigger cam probably a torque converter.
