Radio Lights

I lost a bulb last week on my radio so I decided to take the radio out and see what's involved in replacing the bulbs. When I put the radio back in, the whole left side of the radio is dark!!! I started looking for part numbers and found so many on here that I have no idea which bulbs are correct. Does anyone have a picture of the bulbs before they replaced them? One part number I found is 272-1154:

Another part number found was 272-1092:

and the 3rd was #7219:

The first light (272-1154) is a 12v 50mA incandescent bulb, 0.12 MSCP brightness and rated at 5000 hours.

The second light (272-1092) is a 12v 60mA incandescent bulb, 0.15 MSCP brightness and rated at 10000 hours.

The third light (7219) is a 12v 60 mA incandescent bulb, .72Watts and rated at 10000 hours.

I want to replace all radio lights, but I don't want them brighter than the original lights or brighter than the heater control. I need to know which bulb is the direct replacement. Thanks

Are those -- Radio Shack? part #'s

I don't theres any issue with brightness but rather the color of the light. I did some of my radio bulbs about 2 yrs ago and was at the time (and still) unable to source the blue covers. The bulbs I took out look like your #2 or #3. See the 1st picture -- the bulb on the left was what I replaced them with, the other 2 are the old ones. Also see the color difference in the 2nd pic.

I got my bulbs from these guys (as there is no Radio Shacks here anymore)http://www.corvetteradios.com/corvetteradios_013.htm

I see they now have the blue covered bulbs.

Looks like Pontiac dash lighting! Why not use LEDs, they should last longer and give you the white temperature you are looking for.

I never saw the response to the original post. Sorry. The orange color is because the blue condom cover is not on the bulb. If you still have the covers, try to gt them on the new bulb and the color will correct.

An update to this.....

I replaced all the bulbs with the 272-1092 from Radio shack. The fact that they are 60mA tells me that the originals are 50mA. The first ones pictured are identical to what came out, so I will be putting those in soon. Most of the lights are slightly brighter than the original setup. You can see that in the picture that was posted. I do still have the problem with the 3 larger bulbs that light up the preset area. With the blue cover on, the 60mA bulbs aren't bright enough. With the cover off, you get the orange lighting that is seen above. I have yet to locate the replacement bulb which I believe could be a 100mA. Anybody have any insight to this, please let me know.
