Burning Oil And Possible Vacuum Leak

I have a 2004 Silverado 5.3 and recently I checked my oil and its suddenly low now.

 

It sort of surprised me because its only been around 1500 miles since my last change and the oil level is about 1/2-3/4 of the way down the crossed area on the dipstick. I've only noticed some blue smoke 1 time on startup about 3 months ago but nothing since.

 

Also, when I got my tune done recently, I was told that I might have a leak either in one of my vacuum hoses or intake manifold gasket. About 4 months after I bought it I did notice like a "wooshing" noise under the hood.

 

My question is... Is it possible the 2 could be related or is that just wishful thinking? And where would I start to pinpoint the problem?
