DownAzzDSM Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 So as I was towing my toyhauler up a nice long grade, my trans temp got to about 230 degrees at it's hottest. It was about 95 out but I still didn't feel comfortable with those kind of temps. I opted for the Hayden 679 like many other peeps on this site. Everything went pretty well. Now I just need to cut down the brackets a little and it will be a cleaner install. Here are some pics. Before Side By Side Camparo! After New Trans Fluid
jrrod2004 Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 damn those temps will kill your trans quick
C & A s Dad Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 You will see those temps come way down. I have the same cooler mounted on an 02 Yuk XL and have never seen my temps go past about 170 on a 95+ degree day pulling a 6500 lb camper. The temps typically run in the low to mid 160 range on a day like that.
VMax2007 Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 I know it shouldn't, but I wonder if this will void your tranny warranty?
DownAzzDSM Posted November 4, 2008 Author Posted November 4, 2008 I know it shouldn't, but I wonder if this will void your tranny warranty? Yeah that would suck.. Hey where did you get your grill?

From a friend who works at a dealer. I got it for 10% over cost, about $275 IIRC. It's the Sierra All-Terrain grill.
