Service 4wdlight

Hey guys I'm new hereand looking for a little help for which route to take on fixing my truck.

 

Ok I got a 02 chev Z71 and the service 4wd light comes on when i try to engage into 4hi or 4 low. Now i had it on a lift and the front end engages when i push the button but the rear actuator doesn't make a sound. So i thought it went bad and bought another one but as I tried to put it on it wouldn't line up! Turns out that piece that the actuator turns (sorry don't know what to call it hah) is stuck about a 1/4 of a turn in the wrong direction. My one buddy thinks the shift fork could be bent but I'm not sure. Should I just order a new T case and replace it myself? Get someone to rip it apart and fix it?

 

 

Anyone have this problem or know what it could be? I don't want to waste money here hah. Thanks for anyhelp i can get!
