They partnered up with pickuptruck.com to do the testing(which Jeff already posted a while ago) and picked the Silverado unlike putcom who picked the 09 F150.

Yeah too bad They needed 6.2L to do it...

I say this because I can already hear the excuses from Ford, Toyota, Dodge, and Nissan Fanboys...

"Well the 6.2L isn't even available in all configurations"

"Well the 6.2L needs premium to get 400+ horses"

My only issue with these tests is have comparable trucks. If you are comparing the interior of a LTZ Silverado why not compare it to a Limited Tundra? The SR5 interior is pretty bad.

That's a fair complaint, but I don't think the class of interior was the deciding factor. Most buyers look at all of this and then divide by cost. The LTZ with a 6.2/6-spd is an awesome truck, but it's not in my price range. Most folks buying GM go with a 5.3L and a mid-level trim, providing ample power and all of the important features for much less $ and a little better mpg. I personally like the Tundra and looked at it closely when buying, but they need to fix a few things that bother me and offer a cleaner "truck like" interior in more of their mid-level trims (i.e., split bench seat, simpler dash, large non-recessed guages, etc.) and shrink the crewmax just a tad (IMHO). Also, the ride and driving experience in the GM trucks is, to my taste, the best. Those are more-so the deciding factors for folks like myself than 0-60 and 60-0 times. That said, the fact that Toyota offers the 5.7L/6-spd standard in all Tundra configurations is a BIG plus compared to the way that GM structures their offerings, so the SR5 against the LTZ isn't really fair (but that's what Toyota sent to the test?).

^^I agree 100%, it would not have made a difference, nor do I disagree with the outcome or order of the test. But it would be cool to have a CC "shootout" with the best 1/2 ton truck each manufacturer offers, money no option. Ford would have the highest payload, GMC the best looking/riding, Toyota the most hp/fastest. They all would be really expensive, but cool.

Not the most HP (the 6.2 has 403hp), and didn't the 6.2 GM beat the 5.7 Tundra? One of them did anyway. It would be damn close anyway.

505>403

You can get the Tundra with 505 hp (or close to it), but the pricetag is ridiculous, but it is there. Stock the GM CC 6.2 beats the Tundra Crewmax 5.7 without the TRD Supercharger. The 6.2 is a sweet motor but I'm surprised it does not get better gas mileage, do they all come with 3.42's?
