Colorado Radio Interference Problems

I just bought a new 2008 Chevy Colorado but

the radio has severe static interference whenever

i turn it on. no channels come in at all.... not even a hint of a

voice or music. it's almost as though there's no

antenna.

 

does anybody know of any reason as to why this

might be happening?

 

I'm not familiar with Chevy trucks....

I thought it might be interference from the On-Star

but i'm not sure.

 

any help would be greatly appreciated.
