2wd Lift Pics

First off hello!

Second, i have an 08 ext. cab sierra and i want to put a 6" lift. Ive looked all over but cant seem to find pics of a 2wd nbs lifted 6". Im trying to get an idea of how diff its gonna look than a 4wd. If anyone has some pics i would appreciate it!

Also, has anyone ever hear of a company called "ZONE" ?? I cant find any good reviews on thier lifts....

Its going to look about the same.... you just have no front differential. As fas as the Zone kit goes, its made by BDS so its a decent kit! Its fairly new so thats why you can't find anything on it. Rough Country just put out a new lift. Looks pretty nice and only 999.00 for the 2wd version.

Oh yeah, heres a pic of a lifted 2wd.

Its going to look about the same.... you just have no front differential. As fas as the Zone kit goes, its made by BDS so its a decent kit! Its fairly new so thats why you can't find anything on it. Rough Country just put out a new lift. Looks pretty nice and only 999.00 for the 2wd version.

After reading about the RC stuff im leary about buying anything from them....

J is your truck a 2wd or 4wd? I love the look of your truck, i see the z71 and assume its a 4wd but i remember now that thats not always the case.

Isnt yours a Fabtech lift? Thats what i was going to go with, but i ran across a 6.5" lift from ZONE for about $1k shipped so now im at a standstill.

My truck is 4x4 with the Fabtech.

The problems with RC were the balljoint they included with their 3" kit. I beleive they have fixed that. The new and bigger lift from them uses the stock upper control arm balljoints just like all of the other lifts do. Most of the kits are basically them same with each manufacturers little touch. To me it looks like a good kit and cheap. Here is some info ont he Zone kit. It is made by BDS with different lower control arm crossmembers. The Zone LCA x-members look a little flimsy to me, but thats what I gather from pictures only. I haven't seen one in person so who knows. Just did a search on Fullsizechevy.com. You should be able to find some more info from the guys who have installed it. Let me know if you need anything else. If you do lean more towards the RC kit, let me know. I know a guy who sells/ships them cheap. I'll even check what he can do on a Zone kit.

Well right now im really thinkin im going to go with the ZONE 6.5"kit. I havent decided for sure on this, but they also have a package deal where you can get some 20"rims with MT 35s. Total is about 3100 shipped i think. Sounds good to me but i just dont know about the install part of it.

They offer a package? Never heard of that before. Actually, just looked it up. I guess as long as you like that wheel/tire combo. They are shipping all of that for free? The install part isn't bad if you have a few days you can set aside, patience, determination, mechanical skills, a good tool set, and a couple friends. Plus it will save you about 700-1000 bucks if you do it yourself. Check out the instructions they have on their site.

Ya i looked at the instructions this morning. It doesnt look too bad, im usually pretty good at that kind of stuff so i might give it a try........

scroll all the way to the bottom and it shows the "package".

I think the rims/tires look good, but its a package thing so if it becomes popular my truck will look like everyone elses.

Did you install the fabtech yourself?

I found a local place that will install for 300 bucks, but their kit is overpriced so it pretty much evens out to other places when it comes to the install.

Yeah, but I doubt you will see someone else driving around with it. Yes, I installed the Fabtech myself. 300 bucks? WOW, thats insane. Lowest I found around here was 750. I actually came close to paying to have it done, but just said F-it and started tearing it down. As long as you take your time and follow the instructions, its really isn't too bad. Where are you located anywhere? If you are close I can help out. I like working on stuff...

How long did it take you to do the install from start to finish? Im in central CA so if your in Delaware it might be a little bit of a drive.

It took me a solid 2.5 - 3 days. I'll say a half day to do part runs and crap. HAHA, I just saw that you got yours put on, so this is not needed anymore!

Just saw this. I too was very nervous. I have never messed with suspension before. Def my biggest job yet. I will be honest, after I took the wheels and disks off I said F-this and wanted to put it back together and pay to have it installed. Then I just sat down and told myself I could do it. I went to town on it and 3 days later, ALL DONE!
