Need Opinions on Tool Box

Recommended Posts

I need a tool but I don't like crossover boxes. I am thinking about getting a diamond plate box and bolting it to my drop in bedliner. I will put the bolts in the ridges of the bedliner so they won't touch the bed of the truck. I don't want to drill holes in the bed is the reason I am thinking about bolting to the bedliner. Any thoughts or better ideas?

I would think that over the long haul it would weaken and tear the bedliner where you bolted it to it.  The box would have to have at least a little bit of motion to it and those bolts would act as pivot points.  Would have to rip through at some point and then you just have big holes in the liner.  just my uneducated $.02 though..

I put two eye bolts in my box and got two turnbuckles and ran them from the tie downs in the front of my bed to the euebolts. A very tight fit and can be hard to tighten up but it works for me. I have a drop in bed liner. The bolts are located near the top and to the front of the box so the turnbuckles angle across the box. I put silicon on the inside of the box to prevent leaks.
