Projector Headlights For 08 Sierra 2500hd?

Hi everyone...

 

Just bought an 08 Sierra 2500HD and wanted to replace halogens headlights with HID's, but saw these up on ebay and wondered if anyone has these on their truck.

 

They are projector headlight housings. They look cool, but if could get a HID bulb in them that would make them even better.

Not my taste. But then again, taste is something very personal. I wonder if they actually work in the dark.

OK...so its obvious that people think that those projector housings are ugly...ok...im fine with that...

 

The only reason why I looked at replacing the housing was because when you replace just the bulb with a HID, from a halogen, the lights tend to blind everyone becuase the housing can't project the light in a focused beam but spreads it out all over the place causing people to flash their high beams at you all the time.

 

I know this becuase when I upgraded my old 07 Yukon Denali with HID's even though I pointed the beam as low as I could, due to the housing spreading the light all over the place, people constantly flashed their high beams at me thinking tht I was on my high beams.

 

I know that it's a different vehicle now but if you have upgraded your headlights to HID's do you have the same problem?

 

Especially if you lifted your truck and went the HID route, do you just blind everyone at night?

 

If you have a pic of your truck with HID's will you post a pic with them adjusted so that you can see better, but not blind oncoming traffic?
