well seven years later after selling my Silverado for a 01 vette and then buying a 04 Z06 (spending way to much money modding it), i finally had the chance to buy a 08 Silverado Z71 Crewcab for my daily driver (i love it!!)

Im glad to be back and not looking forward to spending money on mods  the latest is a Pioneer AVIC F90BT ill be install when all the parts get in, looking forward to being apart of this community again!!

Here's a quick pick of the two together... and my 04 Z06 i modded into a vert.

Welcome back! (even though you were here way before me)

Nice rides...both of them. I can sympathize...I don't have a Z06, just a Camaro SS, but I know all about spending way too much money modding them! I'm enjoying modding the new truck, though...it's like having a fresh canvas.

What all do you have in mind for the truck?

HID's for the lows and fogs. spray in bed liner, tonneau cover and custom leather interior. This should get me buy for a few, ok finish off the stereo with subs, amp and new speakers down the road... oh and i need to paint the front bumper black to match.

Yes, all the above plus a Blackbear tune!

so what can/will a BB tune do for me with out modding the engine at all? dealing with the vettes its not piratical till you swap headers, intakes, cams. see this is how it starts, 1 mod leads to another and then im addicted and cant stop again. but your right on a new canvass.

These trucks are pretty conservatively tuned from the factory with crappy trans shifting and lots of torque management. They respond very well to tuning even with just bolt-ons...not like our LSx based cars which really only require tuning after serious engine mods.

Hey, welcome back! There are miles of threads on the Blackbear tune. Read until your head spins, and then contact Justin :nonod: Very nice rigs you have there

+1 on the Bllackbear Tune. Well worth the money and the best bang for the buck! Where do you live? I see Roanoke in you info, but the vettes plates say Virginia. Justin (Blackbear) is going to be in Fort Worth in Feb and he lives close to DC. A live tune is the best way to go, so if you are close to either of those places.

Welcome back and nice setup on the Z. I got rid of my SS for the truck and had no plans on modding it initially. Now I have almost two lines of mods in my sig and more to come.
