Belts

Are aftermarket belts any good? If so were is a good place to get them? And when is a good mileage to change them at? thanks for the help!

The OEs do not mfg any belts, they are all made by an Aftermarket Supplier. I am and have been a Gates user for years but there is nothing at all wrong with Goodyear or Dayco.

 

I would suggest keeping a close eye on them after 3 years and even if they look good replace them before 100K or when they are 5 to 6 years old.

 

My 02 Yuk (65,000 miles) has the original belts and hoses but they will all be replaced this spring.
