Is This A Good Deal....02 Escalade

Alright guys...I got my 99 Suburban with 150K on it and it runs like a new one...I'm happy with it, but was planning on cutting it loose as I don't drive a whole lot anymore like I used to....the Sub was bought to keep miles off of the Sierra....

Anyway now that I may have some interested buyers in the Sub, I got a buddy who works at a Financial Instiution which has recently repo'd a 2002 Cadillac Escalade with 105K on it, he heard I was selling the Sub and told me about this.......this Escalade is Overall Straight and Looks Good....Tires are Good, Needs Cleaned Up, is Displaying an ABS Light and a Service Stabilitrak Light and has a Broken Front Window Regulator....anyhow, I'm thinking the ABS Light is probably the Speed Sensor which is $33 bucks a piece, and I'm assuming that is messing with the Stabilitrak, and I can get a Regulator for under $200, other than that this thing looks very nice....they would like $7K I haven't done any negotiating yet....just kind of curious if you guys think that is a good deal or not?

I don't need cost comparision or you should just drive your truck cause 2 vehicles aren't worth it....yes I know all that...I just want to know if the price is good for this particular vehicle.

I've seen Escalades with 100k on the odo running for 14K+

7k seems good to me. Any pictures?

I would get the ABS problem checked first. Don't just assume it's a cheap fix. It could be a very expensive fix. Price sounds good though.

When I bought my 99 in 2002, I had it about a week, and I started having ABS problems. I took it back to the dealer, and it was a $900 part. They covered it for me, since I had just bought the truck, and it was just off it's 3yr warranty.

I'd get it checked out first.

The VIN is 1GYEK63N62R163142

I don't think its the ABS Module that I believe Nick the Great is describing....the Pump Shuts Off when the Truck does...I thought those were known to just keep making noise even after you shut the truck off.

I don't think its the ABS Module that I believe Nick the Great is describing....the Pump Shuts Off when the Truck does...I thought those were known to just keep making noise even after you shut the truck off.

Went and Drove it...there was a Real Loud Friction Noise in the Front End....Didn't seem like a Hub, but I'm not really sure as the noise got louder only during acceleration...I'm thinking possibly something wrong with the transfer case? Anyway I passed on it for now!

what would worry me about a repo is how it was driven before it was given up, ie: did the owner beat on it before letting it go/taken away. Sounds like from your description that it has some issues. 7k is pretty cheap for an Escalade in my opinion but it's probably for a reason.
