Installing Aux Backup Lights

Hello all,

Here is a diagram of what I am going to do to have some aux backup lights as well asa keep on fuction while I am hooking or unhooking the trailer. What ya think?

Looks good to me. Should be convenient to have them hooked up to the cargo lights too

Yeah just wanted it to have no aftermarket switch. Try to keep it looking stock. Even where I mounted the lights the plastic step cover on the rear of the truck was held underneath by those plastic push pins. I took them out and they screwed right into the factory holes.

I'd like to see pictures of where you mounted the lights. The circuit seems fine, even if it's a little sloppy (haha just nit picking...I'm a circuit designer and I'm way too compulsive about my drawings).

I'd love to see the finished product!

Yeah the drawings had to be scaled back so I could post it. I am planning on taking the pics tomorrow when i get a chance.

Pretty close to what I did, I went with a switch under the dash.

Here is the view from the back. Also a shot taken under the truck where the mounting points are. 2 plastic push pins that hold the rear plastic step pad on.
