What Do You All Think Of This Programmer

Hey guys i been looking at this thing, and got to say thats an awsome tuner, i also see that sct seems to make a simalar unit but not as nice. I know alot of guys are not fond of handhels here but this thing is bad ass, you can do all the funtions of the predator but with a touch screen. And upload custom gauges. I think its a great looking tuner and if it can do all of that, sign me up.

Looks pretty cool... for a handheld. :D

I would be really curious to see how the tunes compare to a custom live street tune.

The "gadgetry" looks sweet, but what it really comes down to is performance. Does this thing remove TM and/or E-nannies? Will it tune the TCM on the GMT900's?

No there is no TCM support for the Predator yet. They say they are working a releasing an update that will address the TCM and TM but they've been saying that for awhile.

Once its released for the gas NBS, I do believe I'll be trading in the Predator on the Trinity. I gotta have the gadgets :dunno:

Then it's worthless. The main reason I got tuned was for driveability by removing the TM and the E-Nannies. Also, the TCM tune is the most important one.

I can't justify handhelds when you can get HP Tuners or EFI live for a little more.

You can get A LOT better tune for basically the same money. Only reason I see to get this is you want a pretty little screen to look at. That will give you something to look at instead of my bumper.

Once again....give me the Nova!!! :dunno:

Hey, have you had a chance to run your truck with your new MT's yet?

see on my body style i dont need tcm support dont have a tcm..lol but what i like about this is one the cool monitor, and this saves me from buying hundreds of dollars in gauges like before. I also had looked into hp tuners and efi and got to say "too complicated to learn" , i want to adjust things myself and to be able to do it without mailing my stuff away for a while . Also this can hold the custom CMR tunes. So if you have a heavy modded truck you can take it to a dyno and they can run it, tune it, and then import it to the trinity the same way they do on a predator.

With a pcm every time i chaned mods if i had that many i would have to mail back and have things changed. This thing will let me change right in my driveway then drive the truck and monitor AFR and what ever else i uploaded.

you have a TCM........its in the trans.

Tcm were controlled by the PCM on my body style and only actualy avvable seprate on a deisel, wich i belive is a allison thing anyway so not alot of controlls out for that. The TCM is a seprate controllable device on 07 gmt900 models and forward, This is why its a big deal for those nbs to have tcm support. I can adjust shift point, firmness, pressure , rpm's, rpm's vs mph...ect.

From what i under stand TCM's were only avvalable on HHR, cobalt and a few others during that year.

Soon-to-be-untrue. :D You will soon be able to have the best of both worlds when the EFI Live Autocal gets released.

You can buy one from Justin with a tune and he can then e-mail you updates and you load/store them yourself as desired (the Autocal will store some and you can store as many as you want on your PC). It will also do Data-Logs and Crank relearns. Not sure if it has PID guages or not, but I would assume it does.

Verry nice, its amazing what this market is exploding into...it must be cool to work at one of these tune shops and be on the constant verge of breaking a trend and setting a new one. Its got to be almost as fast past as the cell phone industry.. :D maybe they will make these things update via onstar, or through some sort of satalite up date feture. ( i cant spell)
