Debagde 1 Yr Old Red?

I'm thinking of pulling the 4x4 stickers on the bed fenders and probably the tailgate Silverado. But I'm a bit worried about it since the truck was built in Feb 08 and the Victory Red may have faded.

I noted that Josh (JRD) and Daddy have red trucks as well. Any advice?

You have nothing to worry about!!! I would do it!!! I am about to do it on my 2007....

I would just make sure that you wax over the spot where the sticker was, I am planning on pulling my stickers off and then waxing the entire truck!!! I havent done it yet!

Go for it! You shouldn't have any problem, BUT IF there is slight oxidation/fading it will be nothing a good wax and some elbow grease won't take care of.

Let's see some pics when you are done.

I suppose if the red is really faded and the 4x4 stands out in the paint, I could always just buy some new stickers to hide it.

By the way, I have no "Silverado" badges on the doors. Its a VMax. The only Silverado badges are on the tailgate. I'm going to leave the VMax badges, but remove the Silverado on the gate. Might take the bowtie and "LTZ" off, but not sure on those.

mine was 7 years old when i removed bug/wind defletor things from the windows and the black plastic from the doors.. i can't see any fading... although pewter hides dirt well, and probably fading too...

My truck was 8 years old when I de-badged, can't even tell it was ever there.

I agree, I can't tell where they were in your picture either.

Take'em all off, except the Vmax badges. Leave those on just to piss daddy off. That's what I did.

Actually, I think I'll add another Vmax badge to the tailgate, if that will help piss daddy off.

Don't do that. I actually have a spare Vmax badge, but I decided against that. If you do that, people "in the know" will think you are a wannabe that just put Vmax badges on your non-Vmax truck.

But if I do add another badge and the "people in the know" think I'm a wannabe and think my truck is not really a Vmax, I can fool them into thinkin they can outrun me..... double flip, reverse psychology.... :D:thumbs:
