Your truck looks like it is sitting well. You must have had the trailer well balanced.

After a job like that maybe your truck deserves a bath!

NICE. Post pics. What kind of supercharger did you go with? I'm looking for a good one for the 8.1. Magnacharger used to have a kit but they discontinued it.

Wow! That's really 27K lbs? When I first saw the pic I thought those were huge logs. You can stop that sagging in your rear if you add a leaf. I added a 1/2" HD spring and it makes such a difference. Thats a great pic BTW!

Not to brag but with my 6.0 2500HD I tow a 24' cattle trailer (total truck+trailer is 14300) with 10 young cows making it a grand total of 28000#. Then have to go over the Cascade Mtns at 2600 ft. Thats why I ordered a tune from Blackbear yesterday. Amazing it even does it as well as it does. Moloss that is still cool, I wish I had a 8.1 but so hard to find. Funny thing is you can tow all that wt in total comfort, peace and with a BOSE stero and a/c running. Man GM trucks are just soo......coool.

the pic was taken with my cell phone so the color was kind of off but hey it's a cell phone......the farm I got the hay from is a very large one......that said they run several gmc/chevy 2500HD with the 6.0 (they are plain jane 4x4 extended cab short bed models) but according to the ranch manager they pull the same load as you see me pulling (and sometimes more).....he was telling me that economically that over the life of the truck (they run them till they die) it's much cheaper for them to run the 2500HD 6.0 over the diesel......now we all know the diesel will out pull a gas but these guys make their living on saving money where they can (he's been doing it 35yrs) and they went with the 2500HD with the 6.0.

There's guys around here that haul cattle all day everyday and they will not buy diesels either. They always run Chevy's with the 6.0 and Ford's with the 5.4.

BTW, cool pic :D
