Missing A Clamp?

Is there supposed to be a clamp on this tube on my intake? There's one on the left by the filter box, but it seems like there should be another one on the right side of the tube. If if matters, it's an '05 Tahoe, 5.3L.

yes there should be a clamp there, the flexible tube there is removable from the bigger piece to the right. Better get one on.

+1 I just put my OEM back on and there was a clamp there.

If that becomes loose and does not seal, you will get two codes. P171 and P174. lean on the left bank and lean on the right bank. guess how I know :D

Hey you forgot your line....

Have a good one

how about this walk out to the thing and try pulling it off?? :D if it comes off you need a clamp if not its glued on. :D

that would suck if it is glued, just imagine if it gets hot enough, the glue would be sucked right into the engine

Its not glued on. I've took enough of them off. If you can't find a clamp I believe I have two or three of them in my garage,

Have a better than average one

Thanks for the replies. I've sort of tried to see if it is a loose joint or if it comes off. It seems pretty solid, but I thought that might be just because it's stiff plastic. I guess I should go see if Autozone has a part number listed for it.
