Front Bumper Alignment - 2008 Gmc Sierra Slt

I have a "new" 2008 GMC Sierra SLT 2500 HD Crew Cab. The front bumper and fascia are not aligned evenly. The middle of the plastic fascia is a bit higher in the middle and it gives the appearance that the front has a "smile". Also, the outer ends of the bottom chrome piece are a bit lower and the ends appear to be tilted downwards slightly. The gap between the fascia and the chrome bottom shows a lot of variation. I looked at a number of new GMC trucks on the dealer's lot. Most of them have an alignment problem. The same fascia and bumper design are used on the 1500 and 2500 for 2008 and 2009 models. It is amazing that there is so much variatoin with the robots and computers involved in the manufacturing process. This is 2009. How can I make sure that the front fascia and chrome bottom are aligned better? Any ideas would be helpful. One option is to simply say that it was built by GM and that's the way it is. I need not say more.

This has been discussed, I did this myself in fact. No idea where though? But if you do a search (use advanced search) with my username and some aplpicable keywords, You should find it. If not, let me know and I will try to find it.

I have this situation too in the middle of the bumper were there is a bigger gap. But I just covered it up with my light bar so no more worries!!

Thank you for your help. I will crawl under my truck when it gets warmer.

I appreciate the photos. It is still amazing to me that the factory lets the trucks out the door with the bumpers not aligned the way they were designed.
