Well one of my semi trucks broke down outside of Bowie TX.

Travel Centers of America mobile service charged me 650 bucks to do nothing but tell me I need a fuel pump...

I tell them okay how much...

(TA) "Uh we don't do that kind of service..."

?!?!?!?!? WTF.

So i keep looking and find another mobile service company about 90 miles out from where my driver is stranded.

They want more than 800 plus fuel to go and fix it...

So I say fack it and start loading up tools and buy the pump 180 dollars.

My Dad says fack it I'll come too.

My regular mechanic that works on my truck says fack it I'll come too...

So all three of us are currently on our way and passed midland about 40 minutes ago.

Looks like it's gonna be a loooong night...

Might as well do it myself and have a mini vacation...sucks for my girlfriend though...because of valentines and $hit...

I hope we get it running asap so we can sleep and maybe head down to DFW for a while tomorrow.

If we don't we are gonna be sleeping all day tomorrow only to wake up and drive back home. (That would suck)

All this was spur of the moment too though.

My Dad and I only have a change of clothes and our mechanic friend brought a jacket and thats it...

I have been up since 3:30 AM trying to get my semi rolling again.

Well I got back home about 4 o'clock on Sunday.

Weather was horrible and we couldn't get it running.

We tried for about 14 hours to get it started.

Finally gave up and towed it to a shop and they worked on it for 12 and finally were able to discover it was a cam shaft sensor (2,600 bucks later)

They hooked up a Diagnostic program but since the computer was not getting the signal from the sensor it did not know the engine was cranking and therefore wouldn't tell the injectors to inject fuel.

So one of the techs called another fellow tech on Sunday about 4 AM and asked him what could be wrong and sure enough it was the sensor.

We all had very little sleep and I didn't even get a chance to kick back in DFW...oh well.

Sorry to hear you had so much trouble but glad you finally got it fixed.

Yeah I am still in shock that we only had six hours total of sleep the whole time and were still awake. We fell asleep inside the Furd for about 2 1/2 hours on saturday morning from like 5:30 AM to 7:45 AM and did not get to sleep again really till after 6AM sunday morning when we were driving back...

Yeah next time I am out there we can knock back a few cold ones Jim.
