I Plan on doing a blow through tomorrow. I hate to destroy the walls of my baby but it must be done. I want it loud and i just cant do that with under the seat or behide the seat box. not enough airspace or mounting depth for my subs.. i have to l7 15" kickers and i plan on cutting the wall of the cab and the bed and sealing the gap with (?) ionno.. and placing the subs in the bed.. i have a hard top cover so the water in the bed is not a problem just dont kno what to seal the gap between the bed and the cab with.. any tips or suggestions would be nice..

and yes i kno im cutting my truck panals but they can always be welded back on later if its ever sold.. no one will ever no :D

Now you sir have some balls. I love that idea except I couldn't get myself to do it. Maybe if my truck was paid for and about 8-10 yrs old. :D I have no suggestions for sealing the cab from the bed but now that you are going big give those l7's plenty of power, ported, and tuned low. My favorite truck with blow through.

I worked at a stereo shop several years ago and did a lot of boxes ported through the bed to the cab. Below is a link to what we used, but we got it at a local camper shell store. When I would put it on I would fill the groves full of of silicone and then push over the cut metal. Also on one end of the strip, cut the metal clips off about six inches and then silicone what is left as a flap over the other side. This made a waterproof seal on our installs.

I suggest saving some money for some of these too. And yes, you WILL be "old" before you know it.

I am only 42 and I have some hearing loss in my left ear from an eardrum puncture I suffered 20 years ago. Not bad, but enough to know it sucks. My mom is 80 and nearly deaf and I can no longer even talk to her on the phone. My FIL is also nearly deaf and is VERY difficult to hold a conversation with.

Respect your hearing. That is all.

I've done a blow-through with one kicker l7 15 in my regular cab and like he said you can always weld it up later if it hits the fan. I hid my sub box with a tool box I bought at Lowes. That way I can still use me truck just fine and I have a small amount of storage in the toolbox which I actually have tools in. Although if I ever get a bed cover there may be more subs to come and plus my truck is just getting higher and higher off the ground since I just bought a 6inch lift and already have a 4. I'm powering me l7 with one kicker 1500.1 and it actually is rated at 1705 watts....so yes it can be blown but it isn't cranked up all the way. Good luck on the full install and post pics
