Ok guys, just got back from the track, what a night.

WC Qualifying:

Due to my mom's car being taken to the shop and waiting for the rental car, I missed the first half of the field. I got in my seat just in time to watch Mark Martin take his laps. He is the Pole Sitter.

Qualifying highlights:

Jerry Nadeau Spun out on the Front stretch on his second timed lap. He got in on time though. Hermie Sadler Crossed up coming out of Turn 2 and tail slapped the wall, He will not start tommorow.

WC Final Practice:

Kevin Harvick blew a motor on the #29 car. Nothing else big happened.

BGN Hardees 250:

Action was plentiful. Lap 5 #35 car (can't remember driver's name at time) sun out and backed into wall at turn #1-2 as a result of 3 wide racing. Couple laps later, Jimmy Spencer leading and #25 car (Chad Chaffin) spun a complete 360 and touched the wall. First round of pit stops saw #17 (who had some kinda trouble during the lap 5 wreckcaution) take the lead, Jimmy Spencer won the battle off of pit road. Next Green flag action saw Jimmy Spencer Retake the lead and battle out between Harvick,  and Mike Skinner. Next Accident resulted in the #05 car hit the wall the Hardest of the night in turn 2. It took him awhile to get out of the car, and was favoringa legknee. Next crash saw the #60 of Greg Biffle back into the turn 4 wall. It took the track cleanup crew 15 caution laps to get the car on the wrecker. My favorite part of the night was #00 of Todd Bodine getting tap by Matt Kennseth after another 3 wide scramble. After crawling from the wreckage, Bodine waited for Kensth to come around and showed him his displeasure of the incident.  Jimmy Spencer won.

I noticed tonight RIR has a new Victory lane. It used to be in the infield grass, but is now behind Pit Road.

Well, how do you like my report?

Not bad.

So, did you buy me anything?

Okay, we'll work on that.

Glad you got to see it. It was a good race on tv. The Bodine/Kenseth smack looked like TB was trying to pinch MK and they got together. No fault, but it could have been avoided.

All in all, it was an awesome  race, glad you were able to make it.

BTW, are your Mom and Aunt race fans, or do they do it because you are a fan?

Just curious.

My mom is a Teeny bit of a race fan, I kinda introduced her to it. Sh doesn't like going to the Track though, she's glad it happens no more than Twice a year. My Aunt is an indefinate fan, Earnhardt was her guy. She went down to the Merchandise area again today and got some Merchandise off of his Trailer.

It's amazing, I went shopping myself after the race and saw the Earnhardt Trailers and their were "We miss you" signatures all over the trailer, even places you wouldn't imagine (Refridgeration unitAC, wheels)

I got POed though cause all the good stuff closed before the race ended. So I ended up getting a Greg Biffle Shirt and a Elliott Saddler Shirt.

Oh yea Friz, My Aunt got a free carton of Cigarettes. But I don't think you want those.

Nope, I'm still clean on the smokes. I used to go and stock up everytime I was at the track.

Now I guess I'll go and stock up for other people.

That's interesting. I think that it is also a bit morbid, but to each his own. Just think, some poor sap has to scrub that off every week, or are they letting it build up?

My first reaction is that Teresa has seen a few dollar signs in the heavans as well. D.E. was the first racer to own the rights to his own souvenier marketing. Since D.E.I. is now chaired by Teresa, I guess she wants to get what she can from the fans' grief. Personally, I can't think of any other reason that a #3 souvenier trailer would exist at this point.

Y'all let me know if I'm way off base here.

They are letting it build up.  It was like that at Darlington too.  The people working the trailers said they were going to let it stay like that.

Friz,

You are off base with the Signatures, but I think the same way you do about making money off of grieving fans, that's why I didn't buy anything from One of the Earnhardt Trailers. I'll just stick with the memories I already have.

I didn't buy anything but the wife did sign the trailer for us here in Texas.  We took pics of the sig.  I think it's kind of cool for the fans.

Well, I don't know the reasoning behind the souvenier sales, but I do have one theory.  Here in WV we have NASCAR license plates, the state was gonna discontinue the Earnhardt plate because of so many requests after his accident.  RCR and DEI were contacted and they told the state to keep making them so their would not be a limited amount for people to make thousands off of later.  Maybe this is the reason there are still trailers there.  They don't want people who never even knew him making money off his stuff at rediculous prices, when they can sell the fans the same stuff they've always sold for the same prices.  No need to let some money hungry person auction of something on EBay for ?,000 when they didn't pay near that much, just because the man passed away.  Maybe DEI and RCR are trying to keep people from taking advantage of this tragedy.

    • Because single shot injectors are ancient and multi hole injectors provide smoother running engines and sharper throttle response due to the fuel being atomized better..the best lead I have is a 24lb blue top injector almost everything matches up but the injector will put out about 26lb/hr which is just outside the gm threshold.figured id ask here to see if there was an absolute answer
    • Why is my question?   Any change in injectors requires a tune. Unless you are going back with the OEM part number or a newer part number of that same injector.   Any size difference or type difference like the EV6 style injectors all have different injector data for them. And there is no EV6 injector that matches the factory 25 lb/hr size that your truck comes with. I've been messing with these trucks and tuning them for a long time and what you trying to do doesn't exactly make sense to me.
    • My 6.6 gas lt8 had lifter noise with 28000 miles bought new 2026 and while driven to dealer it threw #1 rod bearing “HD my ass” good luck with yours i hope it don’t turn a rod bearing!
    • When a condition becomes a business model.    https://www.gm-trucks.com/gm-truck-suv-incentives-pricing-2026/   Zane posted this in "Latest Articles".    The honest bottom line   Truck buyers have spent three years assuming this is a temporary condition that will break once inventories normalize. GM just presented it to investors as a durable strategy, on a chart, as evidence of good management.   Inventory did normalize. GM is at 511,000 units and squarely inside its own 50 to 60 day target. The discounts still did not come back, because the low incentive number is the goal rather than a symptom of shortage.   Plan your purchase around that reality instead of waiting for it to change. Follow our ongoing GM News coverage for pricing and incentive changes as the next-generation trucks land.
    • Thought it was raining this morning when we woke. Nope. Dew point was over 80 F and humidity 98%. Zero visibility distance. Everything was 'sweating'. I've seen rain come out of clouds but never out of Pepper or the tree trunks.    Wicked storms just missed us sliding off to the east but by blocks. Heat index about 110 F with air temp in the 90's.    This is  our third wave this month of multiple days of this type of weather. And yet the grass is going dormant and the ground is cracking this side of the street and water up the the hood opposite. Just weird stuff going on.
