Would anyone else know where to begin

 

I have a 98 chevy c1500 ext cab. For the last couple of years I noticed that during cold starts, after putting the truck into drive and driving down the street the truck tended to shift into first pretty hard.

 

we have already replaced the carrier bearing, all three u joints as well as done the service kit for the rearend and tranny.

 

Could it be electrical, maybe a vacuum line, broken mount.

 

i almost dont want to drive my truck anymore for the fear of tearing it up worst.

Do you mean when it shifts into second? If so, could be an issue with the servo for 1-2 shifts.

Not the solenoid but the accumulator. It may be sticking.

I just reread the post.

 

Are you breaking driveline parts or you replaced them trying to fix the problem?
