Differential Pop

I have an 06 Sierra CC/SB with the 5.3. I have no clue what Diff I have but on occassion it will POP very loudly when it slips then changes to the other wheel. Is this normal or do I need to take it to a shop. I have only had it about a month, and it has done this quite a few times. Please help if you can.

It def says G80 in the codes

In that case there's a good chance it's your locker popping, it's normal. It happens during slow speed sharp turns correct? Probably after some wheel spin?

It def does it after wheel spin, but usually in a straight line. But is it supposed to be that loud, I first thought I blew it apart.

It will sound terrible at all times, not just a pop here and then if it gernaded.

It actually popped 3 times. It was louder than when i blew my diff in my Ram 2500.
