What Oil For 04 Denali?

hey everyone, since my warrenty and whatnot is up on my 04 denali im doing my own oil changes now so i was wondering what kind/type i should use? truck has 64K on it.. i did a search but couldnt come up with the info i needed. thanks in advance!

5w-30 synthetic

 

brand is your choice... i use royal purple but mobile 1, penzoil, valvoline, etc all perform well. Just make sure you keep up on maintenance.

 

I personally change my oil & rotate my tires every 5k miles. Its a little overkill for synthetic fluid but i figure its a small price to pay to ensure i always have good fluid.

Matt pretty much covered it. Use a quality oil and a quality filter. Everyone has their preferences. Synthetic or conventional will be fine. If you want to get the most out of your oil, have a used oil analysis done. You'll then know for sure what oil change interval you should be using for your engine.
