2008 Gmc Cruse Control

Hi

I have a 08 GMC 2500HD

Diesel 4X4

 

Can cruse control be used when in 4 wheel drive?

 

My truck surges then coasts then surges tach going from 1000 to 3000 rpm

I don't think I ever tried...but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Next time I'm driving the truck, I'll try it.

If you need to use cruise control while in 4-wheel-drive I hope it's while you're driving on snow or ice. Since these systems don't use a center differential, like what is found on the Sierra Denali, it could be very damaging to use 4-wheel-drive if you drive normally on a dry, non-slippery surface.

Otherwise, cruise control should work any time.
