Welcome to the site.

Where are you from? .... and did just buy your 2005 and is it lifted at all.... just wondering

As far as the rear brakes are concerned, im not sure if there is a procedure outlined for it that you can read from. There are some special tools that make the job a lot easier but i've done countless drum brake setups (including 05 1500s) using vise grips and screw drivers.

Best thing to do is just take one piece off at a time and leave the other side of the axle in tact so you can reference it for re-assembly.

Some basic steps for dissassembly:

1) shorten adjuster as much as possible

2) remove springs

3) remove shoes

Assembly:

1) put some anti-seize on areas where shoes make contact with backing plate

2) clean threads of adjuster and put some anti-seize on them too

3) install shoes

4) install springs

5) put adjuster back in

I now have a drum brake installer/adjustment kit and the tools in there make this job a breeze!
