Own '94 Suburban and researching for a newer truck, but what. So many mixed reviews about the new trucks that we're discouraged. Have over 300,00kms and think its time to change. Tow 6500 lbs. with dog and 2 cats, enjoy the room of the Sub or a Yukon but can't find 2WD. Suggestions please,

Order one. I ordered a 2wd Tahoe last Feb. Stabilitrac and a locking rear is enough for me, I figure if it is bad enough I will take my truck (4wd) then.

That would be ideal but can't afford new one which is why I'm trying to find a used 2WD, Yukon or Suburban '02-'06, I hear bad reviews with the newer models, good luck. One fella traded in his new truck for an old one, go figure.

Don't believe everything you hear. The new ones are doing great! 02-06 Burbs are great vehicles too. Don't know where you are but 2WDs are everywhere here.

There are a lot of members on here with "new" (GMT900) trucks and SUVs. Far more good reviews than bad. Do they have a few issues...some of them do. Not any more than the GMT800 trucks. BUT, as Jim said the 02-06 hoes and burbs are great too.

We're in Eastern Ontario, near QC border. No 2WD to be found around here, have several dealers searching, checked other sources, called Oshawa to see if we're looking for a needle in a haystack. Where should we be looking? Family in TO, not a problem.

What about going to the states? Where you are located isn't too far from New York is it?

With online reviews one needs to remember that it's mostly people who have problems that respond to those reviews. The majority that don't have problems typically don't participate.

 

I haven't had any problems with mine so far.

 

In my opinion having a 4wd isn't such a bad thing to have. Up here in the GWN 2wd SUV's are pretty rare no matter where you are. You might have better luck finding a crew cab pickup in 2wd. Then with a canopy you'd be close to what a suburban would give you.

Not close enough to New York and with the exchange...Where are all these 2WD I'm told are around. 4WD has never been required in 15 years and figure its an added expense and repair. If we have no option, well, we'll go that route.
