How Much Is To Much Chrome

Well I'm starting to get all my add ons and just wondering what you guys think. My truck came with the chrome package and i was thinking about getting a chrome gas door and chrome window vent shades. Or do you guys think it will be to much?

I was also looking into getting my viper alarm installed but my stereo guy said that is done one before and its very costly to have all the stuff installed IE remote start and door locks. Just wonder what other people payed to have it all installed.

That would be way too much IMO. I think the chrome package is more than enough in my eyes.

I've never been a fan of chrome fuel filler doors... and I think the window vents - IF you're going to do them - should try to blend with the truck, if possible.

Your truck. Your money. Do what makes YOU happy.

But, don't be surprised if people state their opinions (even if you don't ask for them), if/when you ever post pictures. Don't let that discourage you, though! Like I said... Your truck. Your money. You do what YOU want to do with it.

Post pics when you can!

Chrome gas door and chrome window vents...... I'd have to say no to both of those. I haven't ever seen either of those on any truck and thought "oh that looks good"

But do what you like

I think there are times when a chrome fuel filler lid looks alright, although I would never get one myself. Chrome window vent covers? Yuck, yuck, yuck. I have never seen them look good on a vehicle--completely tacky.

I drive a Harley, I love chrome.

Man, that is no comparrison. Harley=look good with chrome all over it. Truck=some chrome, def not fuel door or vent visors.

Chrome hood protectors and visors are a no no in my opinion.

I personally think I've got just the right amount of chrom on my truck. Any more and it would look stupid.

I saw a red dodge ram about a month ago, and almost wrecked when I saw how ridiculously much chrome it had. Chrome step bars, chrome wheels, chrome fender trim, a chrome rocker panel kit, chrome bed rails, chrome molding up the edges of the doors, chrome grill, chrome gas cover, chrome door handles and tailgate handle, chrome vent visors, chrome window sills, chrome upper door pillars, chrome bug guard, and top of all that, the bastard had chrome mirror window tint! I was laughing so hard I drifted into the next lane and almost hit another vehicle. Now thats way too much chrome.

The extent of the chrome on my truck (besides the stock chrome bumpers and grill shell) is a billet grille insert, chrome step bars(my newest mod, just put em on this weekend), and maybe in the future a chrom front air dam/lower valance with foglights (as I'm currently fog light-less), I have the ugly gray plastic air dam without lights.

I think it is a great idea. I also think you should add the little piece of chrome trim around the doors and some chrome fender lips. I think they make some chrome tail light covers too.

Sorry, I'm being a smarta$$, but chrome vent visors should be made illegal. The chrome gas door caps can look ok...mmmmeeeehhh, but unless its a 60's era muscle car that came with a true chrome gas cap from the factory I say stay away.

If you had said the truck was blue & gray, I would've sworn you saw my F-I-L's truck. Except you didn't mention the crooked stripe that he ran down the side of it.

That reminds me, that dodge did also have the chrome ram logo tail light covers, LMAO!
