How Do I Work This Thing?

ok. so if i open a thread it shows the initial post, after that i have to click on every single reply after that to view it. how do i change that?

in the upper right hand corner of the thread there is an options drop box and at the bottom there are display options. Choose your liking

When I use Google to search these forums I usually have to change it to "standard". Kind of annoying but haven't found any options in the control panel to change this.
