Check Charging System Error

I don't know if this is a coincidence or if it has to do with the BlueSTAR kit, but after I finished the installation and turned the truck on to test it, I had a "Check Charging System" message and the red Battery light is on. I tried to read the code with my ScanGuage, but it saays no code present. I also tried to use the ScanGuage to clear the code (according to the voltage guage, it putting out over 14 volts) but had no luck with that either. Any suggestions on how to clear this error? I really don't think there is anything wrong with the charging system being as all was okay prior to installing the BlueSTAR.

The BlueSTAR is working flawlessly, but you do have to remove the OnStar module to install it, whould removal of the OnStar module cause this error? Any suggestions on how to clear this code so I can see if it stays gone or comes back? Thanks...

I pulled out my OnStar module once and had no charging error issues. Try pulling the BlueStar module, if you have the dash all back together, it won't be fun, but that will test if the BlueStar module is the problem or not. If the message goes away, it may be suspect, if it does not go away, try plugging the OnStar module back in. If that's not it, someone else will need to start stepping you through diagnosis.

Checked this morning and it cleared itself! Thinking back, I think I had left the headlights on while I was testing and playing (without the engine running) and that may have caused it. All is back to normal now...

I don't know what triggers the check charging system message but it's possible that could have caused the issue.
