Corsa Db Black Muffler Video

I know that this has been a hot topic currently after Corsa started selling the mufflers alone. I have made this video on youtube of some clips of wot, cruising, and more check it out and let me know what you all think.

The truck sounds good. Is the "black" their touring or perf unit?

 

I wish I could get away with a nice set of pipes on my Wife's Yuk XL but it is not going to happen.

 

When I want to hear a little "Exhaust Music", I just go take a little drive in my '71 and it always puts a big on my face.

Sounds nice and sounds very familiar, thats why I have a corsa DB exhaust as well.

Get a drive by vid sometime and I will also.

 

You did not have windows down at all during vid did you?

Thanks guys that was my first attempt at making a video for youtube. To answer some quesitons:

 

AllBlkdOut07: Since i have put this muffler on I have been seeing tons of post about sound clips of just cruising so that's what this first attempt was all about I like your video when I went to do the cold start and rev it was pouring down rain here so I am gonna try it tonight and give it another shot. At least it's a good song though...lol

 

C & A s Dad: On the JEGS website this is the muffler for mild modifications on the vehicle. The red is suppose to be for more highly modified cars. I have not heard very many sound clips for the red I think that the black sounds better personally. I think that the black is comparable though to the touring "according to description" but in real life sound more like the performance in my opinion. That 71 is nice I just spoke with a gentlemen about a 1970 hopefully get it and start that...you can never have too many toys!!!!

 

Yea I am going to try and get some drive-by's today and hopefully a cold start and some rev videos if the weather can cooperate.

 

jrmchevyman: Nope I didn't have the windows down because we had string of storms come through and had some strong 20 to 30 mph wind. I did a vid of it and could not hear the exhaust at all. If the weather cooperates this weekend I will get a couple posted and send ya the link.

Says the vid is no longer available. I am actually ordering this muffler soon. They only come in 2.25 in/out? Haven't seen many options. I am planning on dumping it before the rear axle. Looking forward to a better exhaust note and less drone.

I just clicked the link and was not signed into youtube when I did it so it should be working if not let me know and I will try and get something figured out. Yea there are not too many options out there. My exhaust guy just stretched the in/out a llittle and got it to fit and I have it exiting at the stock location.

Nope I actually was doing a little power braking there....Trying to get a decent start without tearing anything up and I also had a problem with the video so I edited a large amount of that clip out because of sound problems.

Nice video Justin. I liked the 'stages' you did, gave me a good idea all around of what it sounds like inside.

 

So, I take it from the comments from a number of members here that the drone is better (reduced) on these corsa mufflers? How is it at 1800-2000 RPM cruising Justin?

Hey guys got a good drive by and a rev before the camera died hopefully this give you guys some idea of what it sounds like comming out of a 4.8L sorry the poor sound quality...poor college student here...

 

 

 

2005LT: under cruizing there is very minimal sound in cab until the powerband is hit around 2800 or so is when I notice it. Though during driving in town it sounds like stock on the inside and outside it sounds like you have a nice deep rumble. Not stand out like the cops are going to pull you over but a nice subtle rumble like many classic muscle cars I have seen and heard. If I can get the camera going again I will take some video of cruising around that rpm and send ya a pm.
