2009 Tahoe Won't Start

Father in law's 2009 Tahoe will crank but will not start. Sounds as if it is not getting fuel but the strange thing is that once we let off the key, the starter will remain engaged for a couple of seconds? Called On Star...they ran diagnostics and mentioned something about an abnormal reading from the transmission? I don't have my code reader here with me to run a test and see what code it might be throwing. Could it be a sending unit or solenoid?

Is there a temp fix we can do to get it to start and to the dealer or at least out of the garage? Thanks in advance!

Don't those comprehensive warranties cover towing? I would be PISSED having a new truck like that not work. It's not your responsibility to get it to the dealer, that's all them.

Call your lpcal dealer and tell them to send a flatbed for it.

You should also get a loaner vehicle to drive while the new truck is in the shop.

Dont try to fix anything. Anything you may try to do or rig up to get it running and to the dealer might be grounds for voiding some of the warranty.
