Question About Rear Shocks - 2000 Z71

hey everyone.

 

Ive got a 4wd 2000 z71 sierra. I just picked up a set of monroe rear socks, the load levelers from a buddy. problem is they look different then the ones on the truck.

they look like the top picture, like they take 2 bolts on top, one big bolt on the bottom. the shocks on my truck appear to just take 2 large bolts - the connection on the right side is on both the top and bottom.

 

are these for a different year truck? almost looks like i could just pound that piece out and use them

Thats a 2wd front shock.

i dont think they would make a load leveler front shock - they are for the rear only.

 

obviously normally shocks dont have coil springs on them, these do for extra weight capacity.

Look how the shock looks. Its the same top shock on the picture.

They won't fit your truck and they aren't for the front of a 2wd either.
