I'm not sure if you all know, but I live in a Mobile Home park.Occassionally we have movies filmed here.Well I woke up this morning to see hundreds of cars and support trucks driving up my street and parking in the field behind our park.I don't care so much and they're only for a few days but they can sure be a pain in the ass when they say''quiet on the set'',man you can't even fart.....I'll post some pics in a while

''quiet on the set'' would probably result in "go f**k yourself" in my neck of the woods... Unless of course there is money in it for you!

I grew up in the town where they "Groundhog Day" with Bill Murray. They were there for 2 damn months. I was in high school at the time and town square they filmed in was where most of us went to get something for lunch. it was damn annoying!

The funny thing is, we had an unseasonably warm winter that year. They brought in snow by the dump truck load from further north.

I don't know if you guys remember but there was a made for TV movie ''Someone She Knew'' about 10 years ago.Starring Markie Post & Gerald McRainey about a little girl who was kidnapped and later found dead.Evidently most of it took place in a mobile home park in Arizona(why always a MH pk.?),just like tornados I guess. They used mine for one day,had it all dressed real nice for the movie. They paid me $1,000 for a couple hours of filming....evidently there's a show called The Medium....or something like that

Evidently they're filming in front on the hwy. not in our pk.Most of the crew is across the hwy. Here's pics I have so far

CHP on both ends, usually means some kind of crash is coming, north end

south end

and of course they've already caused an accident in front, nothing to do with the filming

I always thought it's kind of cool when they film in the area. None have ever been that disruptive around here that I can think of. I think the last movies in town was "The Burning Plain" last fall with Charlize Theron  and they've filmed for both Transformers east of town at Holloman Air Force Base near White Sands. The artsy people are taking over though, they seem to be shooting more and more movies in the state and I can see it becoming an annoyance. The Hills Have Eyes and the sequel take place around here but were filmed in Arizona  .

There's a big difference in disruption between "east of town" and smack in the middle of it. That and we didn't get Charlize Theron to sooth the pain, we got Bill Murray. Who, while funny, is nothing to look at, and was kind of a jerk most of the time he was there too

Thats pretty cool. Some stealthy pics there Gramps! Not much happens in DE, but I have seen a lot of filming in Philadelphia. Last one I saw filmed was the Real World. Its pretty neat to see though.

When I was a little kid we had "A Leage of Their Own" filmed on the baseball diamond that I eventually played high school baseball on. It was pretty neat and it was a fantastic field...still is! Thats what southern Indiana will get ya! Also the same town that part of "Hard Rain" was filmed in.

When I lived in NM, I worked at the pen' in santa fe, they filmed the remake of The Longest Yard, at the prison. It was cool as hell. Adam Sandler is cool as hell too.
