G80 Locker

I was wondering if anyone could tell me why my RPO codes are only showing me that i have 4:10 rear end gears which is a GT5 RPO code but thats it everyone ive asked said it should say either a G80 for a locker or G86 for limited slip. Which i believe it is a limited slip cuz it occasionally does either a one wheel peel and sometimes posi. But i am just curious to know for sure as i def want the locker for the track as well as off road. If someone could help me out on this one it would be greatly appreciated.

If G80 or G86 aren't listed on the RPO sticker in your glove box you don't have either.

I believe an open diff or the G80 mechanical locker were the only options in 2001. I have not heard of a LS option in that year.

Mine is the same as your GT5 (4.11 G80 locker) but a 2005.

Mine is a 2005 and I have the same 4.11:1 AR with the G80 mechanical locker. I've not heard of any LS option on the 2001+ HD's. It's either an open diff or the G80 as far as I know.

The G80 in the 14 bolts is a totally different animal than the G80 in the 10 bolts. Judging by his sig he has the 14bolt. The G80 in the 14 bolt is leaps and bounds stronger than the 10bolt g80. I would honestly leave it in unless you plan to push more than 600 rwtq
