Knock Sensor Codes No Ses Light?

I have read a couple threads on this, but everybody had an ses light. I know it does work it has been on before. Anyway i guess i don't understand what the knock sensor code really means.

 

Is the code saying replace the sensor, or saying the sensor is fine you have an engine knock?

 

My 6.0 idles a little rough just a little shake in the steering wheel and brake pedal, not too noticeable unless i sit there and think about it.

 

Ok so i just want to know if in my case would all i do is replace them, or could i have something else causing knock.

 

Also i hear it can make performance and mileage crappy due to retarted timing, that would be awesome if it helped to replace the senors.

The light might have burnt out. Does it still light up when you start the truck?

yes the light does work.

Then, I guess it's in the computer as a code that doesn't trigger the SES light. There's a handful you'd never know about until you plug in a scanner.

do u know if replacing the sensor will always solve the problem?

 

and also do you know if it affects the mileage and performance?
