HELM GM Service manual 3 Volume set, published by General Motors Corporation, North American Operations, in Warren Michigan.

They cover the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra C / K Pick-up trucks. These are the actual manuals that the dealer technicians use, and covers years 1999 (and might apply up to 2005).

These are the best and most complete manuals that money can buy, and are in excellent condition.

Volume 1 covers;

General information (104 pages)

HVAC (154 pages)

Steering (176 pages)

Suspension (88 pages)

Driveline /Axle (268 pages)

Brakes (176 pages)

Volume 1 is 966 pages long, and is just over 1 inch thick

Volume 2 covers the Engine Mechanical, Engine Cooling, Engine Electrical, Engine Controls, and Engine Exhaust for the 4.3 L, 4.8 L, 5.3 L, and the 6.0 L Engines.

Volume 2 is 2,048 pages long, and is just over 2 inches thick

Volume 3 covers;

Transmission / Transaxle (608 pages)

Body and Accessories (1,022 pages)

Seat Belts and Air Bags (132 pages)

Volume 3 is 1,762 pages long, and is just under 2 inches thick

As an extra, I can throw in for free, the Haynes Repair Manual. This is the manual that the auto parts stores sell for about $20. It is about ¾ of an inch thick. It is pretty much a general overview, compared to the dealer books. I used it as a quick reference guide.

Also, I will throw in for free, the entire official General Motors Service Bulletins for 1999. It covers all GM vehicles, but several of them apply to the pick-up trucks. They show the Condition, Cause, and Correction. It also covers Exchange Programs, Service Manual Updates, Warranty Administration requirements, and much, much more. The stack is about 2 inches thick.

I purchased all these items new, for $201.50.

I am asking $50. It will easily pay for itself with the first repair you do. Typical Dealer labor rates are at least $90 per hour.

I hate to sound like an a$$ but you can buy those brand new from www.helminc.com for $135.00 and they only cover the 99 year model. Ask $50 for them and someone might be interested.

I don't think you sound like an a$$, not at all. I looked at the Haynes book, and it says it covers 99 thru 05, so I "assumed" that would also apply to the Helms. :thumbs:

Thanks for the feedback, I am going to take your advice.
