Identifying G80 Locker Option On 2000 Gmc Sierra

I just bought a 2000 Sierra 1500 SLE 4x4 with the 5.3L V-8. Where can I look to see if the rig came with a G80 locking differential? I thought there was to be a sticker in the glove box with rear axle info, but I don't have a sticker in my glove box that refers to the rear axle at all. Is there a different place to look?

 

I'm really curious. This truck has about every other factory option, but I am most curious about the locker.

There should be a sticker in the glove box with a long list of 3 digit codes, G80 will be one of them if it came with the locking diff.

If you go to your dealer and give them your VIN they can run a build sheet for you.

Ahh, I did see all those codes. I was expecting to see something different. I will go back out and look for the G80 code. Thank you all.

WooHoo! The codes in the glove box are listed in alphabetical order and smack-dab in the middle I see "G80!"
