I've been around here, even posted a few times but had not introduced myself. I did not have any pictures and wanted to do some mods. Well I Finally did them and took some pictures of my truck even if they are cell phone pics. Mods w/the help of the posts I've read on here:

Fog lights

Bakflip tonneau cover

Step bar

Bed rails

Auto dim rear view mirror w/temp & compass

DL3 side view mirrors, dimming w/puddle lights

and a few other small items

What else do I want to do? Level and wheels and tires - someday.

nice truck! i have the same truck in black. did you get the 4.8L or 5.3L? how difficult was it to install the auto-dim rearview mirror with compass/temp? where did you buy parts at?

My truck has the 4.8L, it was the last 2008 the dealer had on the lot, but happy with it. I would have preferred the bigger engine because I think they work less. To install the rear view mirror takes a little time but is not that hard. You will have to get a temp probe and run a power wire. Do a search for DL3, and read the posts that Zakman has made, he has great info. I bought everything on ebay. 410user, ebay seller has these parts. There are others also. Be patient and you'll find bargins, I got the rear view for $30 however paid to much for the DL3 side view mirrors.

good price on the rearview mirror. how much did you pay for your DL3's? i paid $200 shipped for my DL3's. they were brand new take-offs, but mine don't have the puddle lamps.

Mine were $280 must have been from a 2007 yukon or tahoe. The puddle lamps are cool, but just for show they do not really light up the area real well, well maybe if its real dark. I guess between the two I got a good deal.
