Wtf...fuggin Muffler Shop Raped Me!

Just a little rant I suppose. I dropped my truck off to have a Corsa muffler installed. I dropped it off thinking it would be about 50-70 bucks, or less to have them do the job. I told them to dump it, but they swore that would be too loud. My little guy does ride in his seat right above the muffler. I figured since it was lifted it would be ok. Well, they said they can run a pipe over the axle and then tuck it away so I don't see it. Thats all I really wanted, just not to see any exhaust. Well, I just got a call from the shop and they told me $180.00 for the work. Seems a BIT high don't you think? I am leaving work now to go pick it up. I will be sure to question such a high price, but damn, I should of just bought a cat-back and installed it myself. I KNOW I should of taken it to the cheap-o Midas again. Thats who installed my Magnaflow for 45.75. I heard good things about the shop that just raped me, oh well. I will report back.

Didn't you get a quote from them before they did the work? It does seem a bit high. Put up a sound clip when you get time.

LOL, I like your response better! I doubt there is anything I can do though right? Even if I say, umm, thats a little high, they probably won't budge on the price.

No, I just went off what I saw on the net and how much it was to put my last muffler in. I should of just kept that damn Magnaflow. It was a little too quiet, but it sounded decent. It better sound like a fuggin formula one car, haha. The guy did end the call with "it sounds pretty sweet." Of course that could of lube for me to fork out 180 bones.

Well, just got back. It does look/sound great. They did a lot of work to make it how I wanted it, so I don't mind spending the money now...

I went with the black. Got it for 159.xx on streetsideauto.com. They were the cheapest by far. It was 177, but I used a coupon code, and they offer free shipping. It was at my door the day after it shipped.

Yeah, I am def happy with the sound and like it better then the Magnaflow ten-fold. My buddy from work brought me to pick it up. Today he was driving his T-type (he has like 10 vehicles.) I went by him on the highway and he called me immediately and said it sounded great. I was just in his car and I think he car sounds fuggin awesome, so I guess it really does sound good for him to say something. I am satisfied.
