Large Suv's & Trucks

I believe it should as there is always a market for trucks, the question still remains is the market for trucks still viable. Large SUV's though are questionable as I think these can be replaced with extended cab or crew cab trucks GM currently has now.

There is likely still going to be a need for a third row seat, and CC trucks are not going to help those that need to haul more than 4 people.

I think they all will surive the next couple years, its after the CAFE and emmision regs start coming into effect, that we should all really start to worry for the life of the half ton pickup and fullsize SUVs. The 3/4 tons might make it becasue they are exempt, half tons as we know them, I fear are in serious trouble.

I have an idea....lets all stand up for what we believe IN and Write to your local lawmaker....If we put enough pressure on them...they are bound to shut this CAFE Law down...

I know one thing...when its time to buy a new Yukon Denali...if I can't buy one...I might flip out...

this new CAFE law is just dumb....little does "he" (you know who I am talking about), that he is messing with physics...and those Hyb. battery's ARE NOT VERY GOOD FOR THE ENV. too.

So what I am really trying to say is that....LET THE FREE MARKET DECIDED WHAT THE MPG'S WILL BE ON THE CARS/TRUCKS...the Gov. already has alot of things to take care of....

I'd drop the Tahoe. You want 2 rows? Get a Trailblazer. You want a roomy 3rd row? Get a Suburban. Want to have 2 rows and still miss that Tahoe? Silverado CC. It's great that GM has so many available options, but I think having too many is just as bad in the long run as not having enough.

Edit: Or phase out the Tahoe and Trailblazer and direct those people toward the Avalanches.

Fear not, the Aveo will save the day. In three months Chevrolets model lineup will be, Aveo, Cobalt, Malibu, Equinox, Traverse. We all have to drive the Traverse. Aaaahhhh!

Full size trucks will stay, oops, Guberment left me no choice but to get a 3/4 ton (which happens to be worse for oil and environment than the non-existent 1/2 ton.)

Your are 100% correct. Like I have mentioned around here before, if every lawmaker's e-mail box was stuffed with 10,000 e-mails daily regarding the CAFE standars, and the total farce they imply, then it would change.

If we sit back, it will go on unmolested.

I have written every government official in my district, AND called their office(s).

We need EVERYONE to do the same.

I can't see a world without trucks. SUV's aren't all that practical for my needs, and cars are useless if you do your own yard work and such.

In part the free market did decide because remember the lots filled with trucks and SUV s when gas was $4... I think this was the beginning of GMs problems. AND it looks like it s coming again. The oil prices are so manipulated and the tree huggers don t want these on the road  I don t believe the Gov, the oil cartel or the tree huggers! We are being lead along like sheep. End of rant.

I disagree with your statement. Members of Congress couldn`t care less about 10,000 e-mails in their box. However, make that $10,00 and they will take notice!
