Help Replacing Drls

Well I noticed not to long ago one of my DRLs had burnt out. About a week later, the other one went with it. So today I popped the hood so I could replace them.

Well I popped it out of the turn signal housing, but I can't the bulb out of the socket for the life of me! And I feel utterly stupid for not being able to figure it out. I even opened up the manual, and it just says "remove the bulb". ...yeah well, easier said than done. I've got to be missing something. I doesn't just screw out, and I'm afraid if I force it too much it'll bust, and then that just makes things that much worse.

It seems like there's two very small push in fasteners in the side... but I can't push in both and turn the bulb at the same time, if that's even what you're supposed to do.

Any help is great appreciated, I hope I'm just overlooking something very obvious...

my 06 DRLs simply "slide" out. Hold socket and pull on base of bulb (wear gloves to be safe in case of the glass shattering).

As stated they just slide in, they are probably melted to the connector somewhat...does it look brown/burnt?

wear some gloves and use some pliers and it will come off...dont bust that glass in your hand.

Ah, I got them out. Guess I wasn't pulling hard enough (didn't want them breakin, after all). Went and got new ones, popped them in... turned on the truck, and lo and behold it'd gotten so dark outside because of a coming storm the low headlamps were on.

......but I'm pretty sure I got them right lol

Thanks for the help.
