Loose Tailgate

Looking for a couple suggestions-

My tailgate seems to be pretty loose when shut, I think only one side is catching. I took the bezel off and sprayed the tailgate leavers and the catches. What are some other "tricks", anyone else have the same problem? What about bending the pins on the box? It's an almost ten year old truck so I'm up for anything.

Aren't the bottom hinges adjustable somewhat? If so and 1 side isn't latching, possibly move the hinge towards the front of the bed slightly, loosen the bolts just enough and just small movements.

WHAT I DID WITH MINE IS REMOVE THE WHOLE LATCH ASSEMBLY ON BOTH SIDES AND THE HANDLE PART SOAK THEM IN PENETRATING OIL FOR A WHILE WORK THEM BACK N FOURTH LIKE CRAZY FOR A WHILE, THEN ONCE EVERYTHING IS MOVING THE WAY IT SHOULD "IF THERE NOT TO WORN OUT" CLEAN EVERYTHING WITH SOME DEGREASER AND LET THEM DRY AND THEN SOAK THE HELL OUT OF THEM WITH A GOOD QUALITY SPRAY OIL "NOT PENETRATING OIL" BECAUSE PENETRATING OIL DRIES AND HARDENS AFTER AWHILE AND IF YOU WANT YOU COULD COVER THAT WITH SOME WHITE LITHIUM GREASE AND THEY SHOULD WORK FOR A LONG TIME. Are the striker pins on the bed sides tight? Mine have loosened up a couple times.
